David Lawrence: And they do that, so this is important information to have. You know if you are operating a computer that uses Windows as its operating system and it*s only a matter of time if the Macintosh continues to gain popularity before that starts to happen on the Mac. It hasn*t happened so far. It doesn*t mean it*s not going to happen in the future. But Windows in particular is where the money is. It*s where people gain fame. It*s where people gain the ability to spam, the ability to create these attacks. So if you get a piece of Email that says you know so and so is naked or you know new styles buy or so and so wears Rolex these are the top ten right here. Pamela Anderson at #10, Paris Hilton at #9, Anna Kournikova at #8, Bill Clinton still on the top-ten at #7. Could you believe that? Michael Jackson at #6, Osama Bin Laden at #5, Shakira at # 4. Shakira, not Celina, Shakira. Jennifer Lopez at #3 JLo at #3, Bill Gates at #2 and Britney Spears at #1. And you can always get an updated list on all the viruses and ways to protect yourself over at www.pandachallenge.com. Check out Panda Software. It*s fantastic. Patrick thanks for being on with us. Happy Father*s Day my friend.

Patrick: Hey thank you David you too.

David Lawrence: Back in a moment with Geek Speak.

David Lawrence: The Geek Speak phrase where we take a tech term and turn it into plain English before your very ears is SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol). We will get to that in just a second. This portion of the show is brought to you by and powered by www.GoDaddy.com. Whenever I need to pump up my web presence I use www.GoDaddy.com. They are the number one domain registrar in the world. Their live 24X7 service cannot be. You can get domains for just $3.99 plus right now if you are a listener to the show you get an additional dollar off any order. Yeah it*s easy. All you do is enter David as you check out at www.GoDaddy.com anytime. Not just now when you are hearing of it but anytime. You can tell your friends about it too you get a dollar off. Make your name with www.GoDaddy.com, that*s www.GoDaddy.com. Remember at Wednesday nights you can hear Radio GoDaddy as the first hour of the show. This Wednesday night we will be broadcasting live from the Gund Arena in downtown Cleveland, my hometown of Cleveland Ohio. We will be there for the Radio and Records the R&R Convention. We will be sitting in the very chair were Joe Tate screams Bingo. Can't wait, can't wait. Well I will go home and see my family. Alright SMTP what is that all about Simple Mail Transfer Protocol. If you have ever created an account for doing Email it always asks you what*s your POP3 Server or your IMAP Server and what*s your SMTP Server? Think of SMTP as the server that sends your mail. When you go to send Mail out it goes through an SMTP a Simple Mail Transfer Protocol Server. And this is yet another standard that has been honed out over the years as to how to get Email around on the Internet, how to set up where the originating server comes from where it*s going to? How to read the DNS Mail Exchange records to determine how to get mail, where it*s going to go and so on? And so it*s a vital part of the Internet and every so often you will see it
