Bays two, we have in the decimal system we have 10 digits, we have 1 through 9 and 0, by the way the history of the concept of Zero is fascinating to read. I don*t know if you are watching that series on CBS on Friday night where you are actually going to have the creators on the show during the week on the David Lawrence show which maybe not be carried on your station but you can pick up the downloads off the website. The show Numbers on CBS on Friday night and I just love that show, I just do, I am a big Rob Morrow fan and I am a big fan of Peter MacNicol and the other members Judd Hirsch is in the series. But the fact of the matter is that they deal with numbers, every crime that the FBI guy in the series solves his brother helps him out with the numbers involved in the case. And in the case of the American Counting System, it*s the decimal system 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. There are plenty of other systems of numbering. One of which is very important to computers and that*s the Binary system, 0 and 1 are the only digits. So you can either have a true or a false state, a yes or a no state, as 0 or a 1 state. And that really on the very basic level of everything is how computers work, either something is or it isn*t. And if you were to describe numbers, the decimal equivalence of which are 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, it would be 1, 10, 11 100 and 101. Every time you increase the number of digits, you are going up in exponential in the power of two and we have all learned Binary back and forth but it has no better application than in the world of computers. Without binary numbering systems without the binary concepts of true and false, yes and no, chocolate and vanilla, there would be no computers. After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change.
