Eddie: Yes that is.

David Lawrence: Alright I appreciate the call. Berry you are Online Tonight with David Lawrence, hello.

Berry: Hi Thanks for taking my call David.

David Lawrence: Thank you.

Berry: I am a photographer I do magazine and newspaper work.

David Lawrence: Great.

Berry: And I finally made to switch to Macintosh.

David Lawrence: Alright.

Berry: I bought the G5 iMac 20-inch and it*s a beautiful quality computer. The question I had was that when I am taking a photo slide show through iPhoto, through iDVD or iMovie, so I chose the iDVD. The quality of the burnt DVD is sub-standard, just really poor. And I have asked to couple Apple Techline and they are kind of scratched on their heads also.

David Lawrence: When you say it*s poor quality, do you explain what that means? Are you taking about from the standards of a professional photographer that the image itself is not what it should be when dealing with fine photography or you are saying that there is some thing wrong with the technology involved or the DVD or the DVD burner?

Berry: It seems to be that the DVD Burner I was using a program on the PC in a Windows program called Pinnacle and putting slide shows together burning those with DVD and there were super nice quality as they--. It didn*t lose any quality by the time I get iDVD to conflate on a big screen TV, a big plasma screen cathode ray but I am not getting that quality with the Mac.

David Lawrence: Okay and you know that the source material that you are using is high bit rate and a high pixel depth, high color rate, etc.

Berry: Right, same camera.

David Lawrence: It*s all the same stuff. Okay remember first of all Apple will make it right, they will figure out something you know they will figure out what*s going on. It may also be that the settings that you are using in iDVD are consumer grade settings and not one to make a lot of slide shows because frankly the kinds of pictures I take, very few people want to see other than my kids and my dog, if I had a dog I don*t have a dog but I do have kids which substitute for my dog from time to time. If I had a dog which I don*t have a dog but I do have kids, I mentioned it, right.
