David Lawrence: In a decidedly noisy environment we welcome Ron Vitale and he likes it pronounced Vitale.
Ron Vitale: That*s it.
David Lawrence: Very, very Italian Vitale. Very New York what part?
Ron Vitale: Upstate New York.
David Lawrence: Upstate where?
Ron Vitale: In the home of IBM in Endicott, New York.
David Lawrence: Endicott very nice, think there you go. Ron is the director of marketing in the consumer division of Dolby and for those of you that have seen the word Dolby and thought well okay what does that do it makes the sound better. That*s what all you really need to know if you are consumer right the sound is better.
Ron Vitale: That*s absolutely right. You know we have a strong brand and to most people it means Dolby is good and you know if you get your brand that far.
David Lawrence: Sure.
Ron Vitale: That*s a great thing.
David Lawrence: The history and the bio of Ray Dolby you know and how he created the products that are now very diversified, in the beginning it was Dolby noise reduction, is a fascinating story and well worth looking at the Dolby site to review. You came to Dolby from Apple. You got 2 great companies in one career how cool is that?
Ron Vitale: You know this, I was weaned on consumer products and a really strong brand and what better than come to a company with a strong brand like Dolby to consume my career.
David Lawrence: What did you manage at Apple?

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
