David Lawrence: You know because again you are always going to have that one device that sits off to the side and goes okay well if I want to program my TiVo I have got to grab the TiVo remote. So you are actually bringing it all under one fold.
Nathan Papadopulos: Yes.
David Lawrence: So you are saying this new one is a color LCD screen, LCD screen on a remote?
Nathan Papadopulos: Yes it*s awesome.
David Lawrence: It is getting pretty cool. So just hold off on sending me one until that comes out alright.
Nathan Papadopulos: Okay.
David Lawrence: Yeah absolutely. How big is the screen?
Nathan Papadopulos: Well it*s about 2 inches and the thing is it is not a touch screen. But we have the buttons on the side and the reason we purposely have not made it a touch screen because we didn*t wanted to another layer of complexity here. People who like to hold the remote control on their hand and they like to navigate the remote control without even looking at.
David Lawrence: Yeah the touch screen you have to kind of look at to know your finger is going to make the actual contact with the capacitance screen. So now you can sit there like most El Bundy like slugs do. You know with one hand in your belt and pointing the remote and not looking at it, just hitting the up and down button.
Nathan Papadopulos: And then now you can change the aspect ration too just by pushing one button. So say you are watching a DVD and then you want to switch over to HDTV because you just spent $4000 on new plasma. You want a good quality image when you do that.
David Lawrence: Right. You don*t want initially to have full screen, you want to have either the wide screen or the letterbox or whatever where you can change that.
Nathan Papadopulos: Exactly, so you can change the aspect ratio just by pushing one button now.
David Lawrence: That*s very cool.
Nathan Papadopulos: Most people you know get a little confused there. A lot of people*s homes it*s like you just spend $3000 on a television and the image quality looks worst than that $100 thing that you had.
David Lawrence: Yeah so is this remote going to be $500?
Nathan Papadopulos: No this is $249.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
