David Lawrence: Really so the, let me try and understand this. Is this is for headend units or is this--
Dave MacKinnon: This is for an Indash video --
David Lawrence: For Indash okay. So if you have like Headrest Video or you have video that falls down from the roof -
Dave MacKinnon: Absolutely no problem.
David Lawrence: Then you can you know you can be in drive because you want the kids --
Dave MacKinnon: You have got it.
David Lawrence: Okay so now this device even with the GPS devices with Maps I have seen drivers just mesmerized by the Map watching themselves travel along the free way at 50 miles an hour that*s just as dangerous.
Dave MacKinnon: Yeah it is and actually we have a unit besides the VRX called NICE. It*s Navigation In-Car Entertainment and has turn by turn voice prompt. So you never really have to look at the screen. For navigation you would also have some entertainment options but yeah you are right it is a dangerous thing. It*s been a big push in this industry, mobile electronics industry to educate dealers on the dangers of doing that. It*s not a risk worth taking for some of our dealers because they can get in trouble as well.
David Lawrence: Let*s talk a little bit about the VRX755. Now this normally has DVD capabilities but it has and it*s not just audio, it*s not like you are plugging a mini stereo plug into the audio the headphone jack on the iPod. You are actually plugging into the guts of the iPod so that you can see what*s going on with the tracks correct?
Dave MacKinnon: Yes I mean they are basically talking to each other and what we have done is we have got an on screen layout with this that*s very, it looks more like the iPod mini and you can access all your play lists. You fast forward, reverse track you have got all the play functions like repeat and shuffle.
David Lawrence: Sure. What would something like this cost for just the unit itself?
Dave MacKinnon: Okay for the VRX755VD that*s $1399.99.
David Lawrence: Isn*t that amazing how when I was a teenager I could buy a brand new great state of the art deal for like 300 bucks. Now you can get in the tens of thousands of dollars in post market customization. Clarion, thanks for being on I appreciate it very much. The model is VRX755VD. It is one of the coolest things we have seen here at the show. You get your iPod, you get your DVD, you get anything you want including your typical FM, AM stuff and we will talk more with the people more Logitech when we come back we are coming with the Harmony Remote. This is very cool, standby live from the floor at CES its Online Tonight with me David Lawrence.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
