David Lawrence: Alright the show notes are up for this hour so far anyway. If you go over to www.onlinetonight.com you will see notes that we have taken on the things that we talked about on the show. It is labeled Charlie and the Icon Factory because this is great little piece of software that I have used on the Macintosh for years and years the Icon Factory and of course we take a movie name and mess around a little bit to come up with a name of our Saturday night show. Now speaking of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, www.chocolatefactorymovie.com is the place to get all the information on the film that opens up this weekend Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Tim Burton, Johnny Depp joining in again for an amazing film and I will say it*s just as freaky to look at. The film is amazing it*s dark. This is not your father*s Willy Wonka okay. Go checkout the official website and just be aware that Tim you know Tim has an interesting way of doing things. www.charliefactorymovie.com that is this hour*s Bookmark This and it is brought to you by our friends over at Datalyst Corp. David Lawrence: www.10quicksteps.com has the brand new Wil Wheaton book *Just a Geek* in audio format oh its selling like crazy. This is the audio version, the superannuated audio version of Wil*s book *Just a Geek*. He recorded it here in our studios at Online Tonight and it*s just fantastic. Its $39 normally discounted to $35 instantly downloadable in mp3 format or available a CD kit, 6 CD set, 9 CD set something like that. There is a free CD tucked in there as well where Will and I talk for an hour about how the book was created and there is Blooper Reel and The Whole Nine Yards, but it's just a fascinating look at Wil*s life. You know him from Star Trek, Next Generation from Stand By Me, Wesley Crusher and Geordi, its www.10quicksteps.com/wilwheaton. It*s also right there on the front page you can't miss it. Alright its 7 minutes before the hour and Bob, I really need you to help me out here. I need to answer a question. I really need you to listen to the question and just tell me what your preference is okay?
Bob: All right.
David Lawrence: Would you like to either [A] Put a disc on every one of the machines, an individual disc on every one of the machines for backup or would you like to just attach a disc to one of the machines and have all the rest of the machines backup to that one disc?
Bob: We are talking external drives so it*s not that big a problem. I prefer to leave it attached to one machine but for two or three machines if I have got to move it around my house --
David Lawrence: You won't have to. Bob, that isn*t even an option. You won't have to move it around at all. What I am asking is would you like to put one disc on the network for all the machines to use or would you like to have a disc on each one of the machines and I would suggest that you buy a disc for each one of the machines but that*s just me.
Bob: Well I got 200 gigs that I don*t have Retrospect for that will plug-in to the USB Ports--
David Lawrence: Okay, so then here is the deal. Alright Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob please let me just answer your question.
Bob: Alright.
David Lawrence: The Retrospect that comes on the external drive that you will get is what you are looking at getting right, or getting the external.
Bob: I am looking at the box version because I have got two external drives.
David Lawrence: Right. The box version only has one license in it, so you will have to buy the box version and then an upgrade pack, which has five licenses in it and that will be another $60. So that*s what you are looking at. It*s a total of about $150 or you could use the Retrospect on one of the machines, just one of the machines and because Retrospect has the ability to draw data from the entire network all of the machines through that one machine on to the one hard drive. You can actually daisy chain the drives that you have onto that one hard drive. You can back up the entire network through one machine not moving the drives around, just keeping them right where they are on one machine with Retrospect that comes on that one new hard drive.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
