Richard: I really like your program.

David Lawrence: Thank you where are you calling from?

Richard: Chicago area.

David Lawrence: Cool listening on WGN?

Richard: Correct.

David Lawrence: I was just there this week. I was just there this past Monday and Tuesday morning speaking down at the Sheraton Chicago at the Ad-Tech Convention. And I just had a great time and I had some great food while I was there and I had some great time. It was just it was wonderful. How can I help you?

Richard: Well you can help me out this way. I am looking to subscribe to a catalogue online service where they list products and I can sell them over the Internet but they are asking me if I have a homepage. If not suggesting I get one. What is it? I don*t think I have.

David Lawrence: Okay well let me backup a second because I would think that before you even dreamed about selling things on the Internet that you would have a site to sell them through. I mean what did you think was going to happen when you went to go and sign up to sell stuff on the web that you would, that they would provide you with a website?

Richard: They have a website yes.

David Lawrence: No that they would provide you with a website?

Richard: I believe so yes.

David Lawrence: No let me backup a second again. What did you think was going to happen when you went to that website that they would create a website for you?

Richard: Yes.

David Lawrence: Ah okay that*s not what they are doing. What they are saying is if you want to sell our stuff you need to have your own website. We will provide you with all the links and stuff that you need to put on your pages. So when it says, what*s your homepage like if somebody would say to me what*s my homepage my homepage is www.onlinetonight.com. And if I were to sign up for something that would appear on that homepage like Google AdSense Ads which appear on my homepage and on the www.davidlawrenceshow.com, in fact on all of our sites. I let Google know that that*s the site that these things are going to appear on. Now that doesn*t mean that there aren*t services out there that you can sell stuff through on the Internet that will create a homepage for you. But in most cases in 99% of the cases when there is an E-commerce service out there and they have got all these different products that you can sell. You know Amazon is a great example. How would you sell Amazon books and DVDs and links to their electronic store and their music and whatnot? How would you sell those if not through your own website?

Richard: Okay so I need a website that is what you are saying.
