Classic cookies, Saint's Row and price fixing

Wednesday, June 13, 2007: GRC.com's Steve Gibson, Chris Stockman of Volition and The Ayn Rand Institute's Peter Schwartz, plus calls, instant messages and emails about pop culture, the day's news and a smattering of technology...it's The David Lawrence Show for a Wednesday.

Tonight's notes: (?)

7pm PT:

Steve Gibson, creator of Spinrite and proprietor of Gibson Research Corporation, joins us live from San Diego to discuss politics, spyware, raw sockets, hard drive maintenance, and gives us his take on the threats facing today's Windows users. Today's target: third party cookies.

8pm PT:

Chris Stockman, lead designer on the staff of Volition, joins us live from Champaign to look at Saint's Row, the game he's designed (and I'm doing the radio channels and some polishing of the script) for Xbox 360. He's proudly proclaimed it in the vein of GTA - but no hidden sex scenes. The demo is released in this classic interview.

9pm PT:

Peter Schwartz, distinguished fellow of The Ayn Rand Institute, joins us live from Connecticut to discuss freedom versus democracy, and looks at the current conflict in the Middle East and how we constantly subvert attempts to achieve peace by not letting war take its toll. We also look at why the phrase "price fixing" is a non-sequitur.
