Emma Clarke goes Underground, Gilmartin and Lorden redux

Monday, December 3, 2007: EmmaClarke.com's Emma Clarke, Paul Gilmartin of TV, stage and film and Cal Tech's Gary Lorden, plus calls, instant messages and emails about pop culture, the day's news and a smattering of technology...it's The David Lawrence Show for a Monday.

Tonight's notes: (?)

7pm PT:

Emma Clarke, UK voice talent and subject of EmmaClarke.com, joins us live from her home in England to look at the firestorm that erupted when she was misquoted in the press saying that she didn't like traveling on the Tube there, the LU being one of her clients (she's one of the voices on the London Underground). We try to set the record straight, on that and on her fake London Underground announcements, which you can hear on her site.

8pm PT:

Paul Gilmartin, author, comedian and host of Dinner And A Movie on TBS, almost joins us live in studio, appearing with a representative of the Orange County Republican Party, Richard Martin, who actually did show up, to discuss the impending election and the problems liberals have understanding the hearts and minds of conservatives.

9pm PT:

Gary Lorden, professor of mathematics and executive officer for mathematics (the department chair) of CalTech's math department, joins us live in studio to discuss his work on the CBS series NUMB3RS, his work at the University and how math affects our daily lives.
