The first man in a little girl?s life is her dad. He is the one she looks up to, the one who makes her feel safe and secure. He urges her to reach for her dreams and is always there to catch her when she falls. He is the man who deserves the greatest of thanks for all he has done through the years and for all he continues to do.
This collection of writing puts into words all the love, appreciation, and admiration a daughter feels for her dad. It celebrates the very special bond between a father and daughter and is a beautiful reminder of the unique and wonderful relationship they share. To a daughter, a dad is her hero, her teacher, her inspiration, and her friend. With beautiful color illustrations, this book is the perfect way to say thank you for the many roles he plays and to let him know that he is loved so very much.
"I wish you could know how much you've influenced my life... You have given me everything, and by doing so, I'm not only a part of you -- you've become a part of me." - Stephanie Spilotro

A mother who came a long way from a family of eleven children; five of whom are boys. Four sons were born first. Fatherhood did not come easy. The degree of respect shared and the struggle for survival broke every barrier extended to a father. His sons became his Jewels and back bone to feed clothes and house a family of eleven children. The price he paid to uphold his title as a great dad did not come easy. That is what fathers are for, to be that role model and the Hero above all things.
The inspiration to write this poetic style book came while working with babies, I am as it is still working with infants many are twins and triplets boys that made their dad ever so proud. A special tribute to all the priceless dads the world over.
Thanks to Brian Exton for the special art effects www.picturerealm.co.uk and Lawrence Madine of Sunnyside Queens who has worked with me together to place the artistry together. Thanks to Mike for the special effect with his darling twin boys. Thanks to John also with baby Ryan ever so precious.

This well-loved Little Critter picture book has become a modern classic. It's the tale of a father-and-son camping trip filled with Little Critter's mistakes and good intentions. In spite of difficulties, however, the happy father and son manage to put up their tent, catch fish for dinner, and sleep beneath the stars. In spite of minimal text, the story is full and rich, with endearing illustrations from start to finish.

• The Independence Rap: Because the children ARE our future.
Tomorrow is Independence Day. And Independence Day is a uniquely American holiday. It commemorates the day on which our Founding Fathers, after more than a year in the Continental Congress debating the issue of independence from the British Crown, finally compromised, and one by one rose to take the quill pen in hand in order to append their signature to the document written by Thomas Jefferson, our Declaration of Independence. (To the younger generation, that?s the document that
• Personality vs. Personality Disorders
Last week I wrote about the difference between personality or temperament preferences according to one?s type and moral choices. There?s no personality preference that excuses a person from moral, sane behavior. While working on this series, I was reminded of a family therapy group I co-led with a colleague some years ago. One of the indispensable tools in our tool box was the MBTI , which we used to help couples understand why they often didn?t see eye-to-eye, and what they could do to gai
• Books That Don?t End: Death By Love
You know the kind of book that is so good you don?t want it to end? I typically experience this with fiction, but this year there have been a few non-fiction books I have read slowly and not finished?because they are so good! Over the next few weeks, I?ll share from some of my reading in the books that I don?t want to end. Death By Love ? This is easily Mark Driscoll?s best book yet. Death By Love is a series of actual letters Mark wrote to people struggling with serious sin and sufferi
• DEATH OF A CLOWN
When the news of Michael Jackson?s death hit, I was stunned to learn that he had, indeed, still been living. With no new accusations, allegations or trials of late, I just assumed he?d died awhile ago. But, no. Until he officially died, he was apparently considered alive. Yeah, I?m being facetious here; as, of course, I?d heard of the 50 show tour planned for England wherein he?d milk the Euros and other gullibles with frequent flier miles to burn for one last money-printing hayride before fi
• Previously On: Prime Time Serials and the Mechanics of Memory
As is typical for me at the end of the school year, my to-do list has a pile of publishing projects that I?ve put off to the last minute. So I?ve spent the last month knocking things off the list with general success ? I revised an essay on Lostpedia that will be coming out in the next issue of Transformative Works and Cultures , and contributed a short piece to a roundtable on genre for Mediascape . But my main writing has been focused on an essay for an anthology called Intermediality

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
