Robert: Yes David, I would like to know in reference you have a caller, how do you transfer your home movies if they are in the 8 millimeter or 16 millimeter format.

David Lawrence: On film --

Robert: Yeah regular projector type.

David Lawrence: Right.

Robert: Is there something out there to do that? I know like you do with VHS and magnetic tape but I am not sure about the photo film type.

David Lawrence: Not usually for the home user that is going go give you any sort of good results the best thing to do is to go to a transfer house. And what part of the country do you live in, New York?

Robert: I live in Long Island, New York. I go to a video store and they will do it for me.

David Lawrence: And that*s exactly what you want to do because they have much better equipment there is two things that I tell people not to do on their own and that is to transfer slides, a quantity of slides to get it done properly by a slide house and to transfer 8 millimeter and 16 millimeter film. The other thing it forces you to do since it*s a bit expensive is it forces you to choose what is exactly what you want to get transferred.

Robert: Oh real I don*t want to lose any data like magnetic tape --

David Lawrence: I understand so go to the transfer house and tell him you want the whole thing done. That*s the way to do it back in a moment.
