David Lawrence: What I said was, because all of the versions of software except Microsoft because it*s not on a Beta yet. All of the other ones have For Pay versions as well the only difference is it doesn*t make it any more effective in removing Spyware. It just adds functionality like allowing you to analyze what it has removed giving you background information, inoculation as apposed to simply after the fact removal. But when it comes to Spy Sweeper in particular if you are going to a Box Store they are not going to sell you what*s best they are going to sell you what they make the most on, unfortunately.
Dillon: Yeah.
David Lawrence: So that was my admonition, but what*s your question?
Dillon: My question is what are your thoughts on free anti virus software as opposed to For Pay antivirus?
David Lawrence: I am a big fan of Panda, I am a huge fan of Panda and to me to spend $14 rather than no money is worth it if you have already have Antivirus software like Norton or one of the other companies. And 79 bucks for their Titanium product to me is piece of mind and worth it, especially given the functionality that it has. Which again is, it monitors your system for behaviors as opposed to simply if it doesn*t know about the virus it can*t protect you about which AVG which is the most popular free software still is laboring under. Almost all of the other Antivirus softwares, whether they are free or For Pay are simply after the fact sweep ups. If they don*t know about it, if it*s not in their signature file, if a particular virus comes out like it happened this week another version of My Doom came out. And the Antivirus software doesn*t know about it. It can*t protect you from it. What Titanium does? What Panda does, is it actually installs a process on your machine that watches for typical viral activity, opening up a port, running a bunch of, spawning a bunch of processes, making changes to the registry things like that. When enough of these things begin to occur that it squarely, it goes wait hold on a second, you know and it sends a note off to Panda saying this is what*s going on, have you seen this activity on other machines? And so it uses the power of all of the users of Titanium to stay ahead of those people that would simply make one little tweak in the code to change the signature, so that the Antivirus software doesn*t recognize it. Now having said that I am not a big fan of AVG because I don*t know who these people are? I don*t know whether or not they are on top of things? I have heard people say good things, I have heard people say bad things, I recommend Panda and that*s the bottom line. 180039 online is our telephone number, 18003966546 it*s 18 before the hour. Let*s go to Larry, line 4, hello Larry.
Larry: Hello how are you doing?
David Lawrence: I am okay thanks for calling, how can I help you?

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
