Gordon: I am wondering if it*s okay to now I have a Firewall in my Windows operating system that I can turn on and off.
David Lawrence: Okay great.
Gordon: I wonder if it*s okay to cascade Firewall.
David Lawrence: That*s a great question. Here*s what I would do. I am not a big fan of the Windows XP Firewall. Because what the Windows XP Firewall does is it kind of stops things from coming in. The problem is on computers with Firewalls in particular, with a Firewall like Zone Alarm from Zone Labs you are stopping data from leaving your machine. And the XP Firewall does not do a good job with that. Now you don*t want to run more than one software Firewall. So if you run Zone Alarm turn off the XP Firewall. But it*s okay to run a hardware Firewall at the same time that you are running a software Firewall on the individual machines on that local area network, it*s a different type of Firewall it won't interfere and you can run them safely together just don*t run 2 software Firewalls at the same time, alright.
Gordon: That*s a great answer.
David Lawrence: Alright I appreciate the call. Yeah back in a moment. Give me a buzz.
David Lawrence: Hey do you know what Lily does now? She keeps a tab open in Safari when we are on the air with Online Tonight with a David Lawrence Show just for www.GoDaddy.com because you never know when we are going to say some phrase or something on the air that sounds good as the domain name. And we know that if we don*t get it one of you goofballs will grab it and with GoDaddy*s low prices, why not? I mean we did that for Wil Wheaton, remember when Wil came up with www.gmailfortroops.com but it was www.gmail4troops.com. Well Lily immediately looked it up because we knew if we said it on the air people would be confused. She looked it up. She saw that www.gmailfortroops.com was available. Did that through the GoDaddy interface and grabbed it and used GoDaddy*s DNS management to redirect that domain right to www.gmail4troops.com. Everybody is happy. You can get your domain names for just 3.99 when you purchase any other product right now at www.godaddy.com and my listeners get an additional dollar off any order if you use the source code David when you check out. Make your name with www.godaddy.com.

Von Schtupp: Bet With Your Head, Not Over It.
David Lawrence: Yeah Not Over It. There you go.
Von Schtupp: And that*s actually a trademark of the New Jersey.
David Lawrence: Oh really?

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
