Imagine you, a kindly soul on the Internet, who receives spam from a particularly nasty spammer. You report him/her to a black hole list or abuse box, and out of sheer spite, you get joe jobbed: the spammer sends out a wave of spam, forging your e-mail address as the FROM header.

It's happened to me, and probably every other high profile person on the net. And it can happen to you. Once it does, be prepared to clean out your inbox for days.
