Life Online, Jenn Selke on MySpace and Stan Liebowitz on p2p

Wednesday, May 24, 2006: Life Online with Bob Parsons, Jenn Selke of UC Berkeley and University of Texas at Dallas's Stan Liebowitz, plus calls, instant messages and emails about pop culture, the day's news and a smattering of technology...it's The David Lawrence Show for a Wednesday.

Tonight's notes: (?)

7pm PT:

Bob Parsons, Founder and CEO of GoDaddy, and host of Life Online with Bob Parsons, listens in from Scottsdale and points around the globe, as we join up studios for the Life Online broadcast/podcast to look at Bob's unique take on the day's news, including how the daily specials at Woot.com work and how you can be frozen after death at Alcor.org, and during the commercial breaks and after the on-air hour, Strange Domains, Best of the Blog and Weird News.

8pm PT:

Jenn Selke, purveyor of JennSelke.com, joins us live from Berkeley to look at the changing face of social networks and how they affect campers, teenagers, tweens and more, and what we can do to help keep our kids safe online. The times are changing rapidly.

9pm PT:

Stan Liebowitz, professor of mangerial economics and director of The Center for the Analysis of Property Rights and Innovation at the University of Texas at Dallas, joins us live from Dallas to discuss his analysis of the last few years of CD sales, in the face of peer-to-peer networks, and other studies that have concluded no major impact on CD sales from illegal downloading. His take, is, well, a bit more realistic.
