David Lawrence: Alright it is 8 minutes before the hour my name is David Lawrence before we went to the break we were talking with Steve about a monitor that he picked up from LG and it*s suppose to rotate and it doesn*t rotate. It was old Radius monitor that I was thinking of. Remember those old Radius monitors were you even a Mac user, Steve or you know.

Steve: No.

David Lawrence: Have no idea what I am talking about. So back in the 80s and the 90s there was a very because desktop publishing was done on off a lot on Macintoshes in those days. Radius had a monitor that the very first monitor they ever made as manufacturers which spoiled the name of the company was the Radius monitor and it would rotate on a pubic point so that normally would sit there in what is called landscape mode wider than it is tall and you physically turn the monitor to the left and the image would darken out as it was turned in left and then it would brighten back up. But the image would be perfect in the vertical so that if you had a long word document or you had an 8x10 page maker page that you were working on or an illustrated document that you are working on. You could see the whole thing in eight and a half by eleven glory and you didn*t have scroll all the time. And people loved it and it required special drivers and it was only good for a certain machines and it was just you know it was a legend in its day but it went by the way side with larger monitors. Now you are telling me that LG has a monitor that does not only the left or right thing. But it also swings around unless you show it to other people. I imagine it doesn*t its just that*s just a physical swing. It doesn*t change anything about the image right. Hello, hello Steve I think we lost Steve. So he wants in getting the image he is getting what was basically the 16 color image you know very, very big pixels and usually that means that the driver is not compatible with the video card. When you get a monitor like that often monitors like that are paired up with video cards that they sell intend them with the monitor, so that you don*t have these issues. You actually replace or add the card if you have an open slot. You add the video card to your machines as Windows only. You add the video card to your machine so that you can then use the monitor and when the driver is not compatible with the video card then you get this you know Windows throwing it*s hands up in the air and going I don*t know what to do with this. This is lets just go back to the basics the onboard video that has you know been around for years and years and years. So that*s the story, that*s usually the case is the drivers are not compatible with the video card. What I would do is I would get in touch with the LG folks, go to their site and see if there is anything about Steve back is that you Steve?

Steve: Yeah I am back.

David Lawrence: Okay cool your phone is not in the best shape but I would go to the LG site and see if there is any sort of frequently asked question or in their support section. Do you know what the brand the video card is that you have in your machine or is it onboard video or what?
