David Lawrence: It*s 7 minutes past the hour and my name is David Lawrence thanks so much for tuning into the show, I appreciate it very, very much. 180039 online is our telephone number 18003966546. Before we went to the break we were talking with Julie thanks for being so patient and hanging in there.

Julie: No problem.

David Lawrence: Now you are with your dad and his machine you think has a virus and so you are getting ready to wipe the drive and reinstall the system software, right.

Julie: Right, because we tried to do the System Clear and when we cut down that it was just a blank page so we want through the emergency system recovery that came with the computer.

David Lawrence: And you can*t do System Restore when you booted on the hard drive that you want to restore because that would be like trying to repair the car that you are driving in, you know what I mean.

Julie: Yeah.

David Lawrence: You can*t tinker with the engine while you are moving in the vehicle. So if you boot from the hard drive its not going to be able to let you erase it and start from scrape so you need to start from the CD.

Julie: Right we did that and then a screen pops up and said like just tough hour to recover or whatever is to we did that and usually another same pops up and it doesn*t pop up so we had head up to as if we were turning on.

David Lawrence: Right so how you do that and keep it held down by the way, until that boots from the CD and you heard the CD warning, right?

Julie: Yes.

David Lawrence: And you saw a different startup screen than you normally see, yes.

Julie: Yeah, it said press the letter R for the recovery so we did that and then it went to the BIOS of the computer.
