Tonight's notes: (?)

7pm PT:

Mitch Altman, founder of TV-B-Gone, joins us live from San Francisco to talk about his new device, which powers off all TVs within its purview one its button is pressed, by cycling through all known on/off remote control codes until one works. Although there is a small part of me that thinks this is all a hoax, the Gizmodo article articulates my "rights are relative, remember?" feelings quite nicely, especially the first 5 words.

8pm PT:

Steve Gibson, creator of Spinrite and proprietor of Gibson Research Corporation, joins us live from San Diego to discuss politics, spyware, raw sockets, hard drive maintenance, and gives us his take on the threats facing today's Windows users. We also look at TV-B-Gone, and a highschool web management project.

9pm PT:

In his debut appearance, Paul Gilmartin, author, comedian and host of Dinner And A Movie on TBS, almost joins us live in studio, appearing with a representative of the Orange County Republican Party, Richard Martin, who actually did show up, to discuss the impending election and the problems liberals have understanding the hearts and minds of conservatives.
