it would recognize the other as a threat. You only run one at a time. So pick Norton, pick Panda which is what I do, McAfee, TrendMicro whoever. But Virex on the Mac if you insist on running Antivirus software on your Macintosh, fine. But you don*t run more than one at a time. This is in contrast to Anti-Spyware software and I realize that the boundaries between what is considered a virus and what is considered Spyware delivered via surreptitious means is kind of blurry for some people. But it is a very distinct difference in terms of the software that you use. I recommend as those of you who have sent away for my free auto response via E-mail. I recommend 3 different pieces of Antivirus software and you should run them all at the same time. I mean obviously not simultaneously you run them serially but you run them on your machine at the same time. You have them all installed at the same time and you run them regularly. Antivirus software only one and it*s important to remember that distinction. Now why do I not use E-mail from my local cable company or my local DSL because it does nothing for me to have you know some variation of david@sbcyahoo or david@dslextreme or david@ameritech or you know david@comcast it doesn*t that*s you know my E-mail address is designed to be memorable to people who know me from the radio, who know me from 10 Quick Steps, who know me from the businesses that I run. I am sure there is a mail waiting for me my local ISP that I get my service from on my account there. But I haven't checked that E-mail box in what 2 and a half years. Because I don*t use it, what I use my ISP for is to have access to my servers at Rackspace, where I have my E-mail. And just because you get a free E-mail account from your ISP doesn*t mean that you have to use it, just because your ISP offers you free Antivirus software, doesn*t mean you have to use it. I believe that McAfee is not your best bet for Antivirus software, I believe Panda software is your best bet. Because of the way it handles the not only the prophylactic but preventative structure within the software for Antivirus. It actually watches your machine for behavior that is virus like, even if it doesn*t recognize the current virus. Because remember up until now your virus software is only as good as the viruses it knows about. If something new pops up, you are completely defenseless, unless you use Panda software*s TruPrevent Technology, because it watches for ports to be opened and you know mail services to be spawned and the machine slowing down and things that it doesn*t recognize happening. And it just shuts it all down and it says hey what*s going on here. So I like that, and that*s why I recommend it. Just because it*s free doesn*t mean it is protecting you. And just because it*s free in terms of E-mail doesn*t it*s your best bet for E-mail. So that*s why. 180039 online that*s our telephone number 18003966546 Carey you are Online Tonight with David Lawrence.
Carey: Hi David, it was interesting that the guy, earlier who had called and said that his hard drive had crashed and he had a Dell. I have a Dell Dimension 3000 desktop XP. After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
