• Zogby: How Obama Got Elected - and me on where we're going
Food for thought: Zogby Poll 512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points 97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions 57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing) 71.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing) 82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicke

langer: Jason Fried, founder of 37Signals, weighed in today on ?why the Drudge Report is one of the best designed sites on the web.? It?s an interesting read, considering how successful the 37Signals mantra has proven to be and how generally insightful their design principles have been over the years. But on this point, I believe, Fried is dreadfully mistaken. It?s really not worth dismantling his article piecemeal because it would not only be a remarkably simple exercise (he makes the hilar
• NewsJunk Winds Down
NewsJunk, Dave Winer?s slightly more than errant weekend project, has been shuttered. I wrote up NewsJunk here at Mashable shortly after its launch back in June. He also mentioned that the tech.NewsJunk variant had ceased operation, mainl
• Rather?s Lawsuit Shows Role of G.O.P. in Inquiry
Dan Rather says that politics affected an investigation into a CBS segment. When Dan Rather filed suit against CBS 14 months ago ? claiming, among other things, that his former employer had commissioned a politically biased investigation into his work on a ?60 Minutes? segment about President Bush?s National Guard service ? the network predicted the quick and favorable dismissal of the case, which it derided as ?old news.? So far, Mr. Rather has spent more than $2 million of his own mon
• Media Follies
It is no surprise at all there was GOP involvement in CBS's dispute with Dan Rather over the Killian memos. So far, Mr. Rather has spent more than $2 million of his own money on the suit. And according to documents filed recently in court, he may be getting something for his money. Using tools unavailable to him as a reporter ? including the power of subpoena and the threat of punishment against witnesses who lie under oath ? he has unearthed evidence that would seem to support his assertion

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
