processor*s performance, remember the days of fat binaries, you would have the standard or classic executable and then you have the PowerPC executable. And overnight applications doubled in size because they had 2 executables floating around in the binary. And all that means is you had two programs in one. One that would execute on old chips and one that would execute on new chips. And it actually generated a line of software from what was then Aladdin and is now Allume. The piece of software was called Spring Cleaning. And Spring Cleaning would go in and would change by removing the one you didn*t need, would change the application. It would remove the PowerPC version if you are on an older Mac and it would move the older one if you are on a newer Mac. And would reclaim some of your precious hard drive space in those days. So I don*t know, I don*t know that any one should be concerned about this. I think that Apple would not make a move like this without asking the right questions without knowing what the migration techniques and requirements would be. I actually called Leo Laporte today as I saw him talk about it and he is very concerned about the migration and what it would do to change things. And I am not sure that it would be that big of a deal, if Apple is willing to make this switch, logic would dictate that they had already thought about this. This would be the first thing that anybody would think about but further this is one of those things where only one outlet is reporting this and if they have got a scoop on this, if CNET has got a scoop on this, that*s great. But I find it very interesting that out of all the places in the world, none of the rumor services, none of the rumor sites talked about this. Apple certainly doesn*t discuss it and if Apple leaked this specifically to CNET that seems weird. I don*t know. Mario has a question about it, so Mario how can I help you sir.

Mario: Yeah, I was just wondering if they do, do the switch the whole thing about Mac OS, doesn*t mean because Intel has a different you know risk versus sisk as a thing, would then*

David Lawrence: Well hold on, it is not Risk versus Sisk that*s you know it's not complex versus reduce in terms of the instruction set, it's the way things are stored in the chip. I mean this what Leon I talked about today you know Big Endian versus Little Endian all of these very low level things that I am sure Apple could easily take care of with a properly designed chip. If this is true, I have no doubt that Intel said not only do we want to move over but hey we have also designed this side chip over here. It's going to make the migration process really simple. We want you as a customer that maybe what*s happening. But who know, right, I find it very interesting. I thank you for the call, Mario. If you have question on this whole thing can you buzz, 180039 Online.
