So, Apple Computer Inc. plans to announce on Monday that it will switch to using Intel Corporations microprocessors and phase out its current chip supplier IBM which is actually in a working conjunction with Motorola to do the 68000 series. This according to CNET*s www.News.com the technology news websites that Apples plans to moves to lower-end computer, so they plan to move lower-end computers like the Mac Mini to Intel chips in mid 2006 and higher-end models such as the PowerMac in the middle of 2007. Now CNET said they where citing anonymous sources. Steve Jobs schedule to deliver a keynote speech on the first day of its annual conference with software developers on Friday and a venue that the report said will be an appropriate place for an announcement that would require significant changes to the way Apple*s software is written. Spokesman from Apple, IBM, Intel and Freescale Semiconductor all declined to comment on the report. Analysts say that Apple might have considered switching to Intel because IBM hadn*t been turning out a broad enough line of chips. So let*s go over to CNET and see what exactly they said and who the author was because it was John Borland and we have got an issue here but let*s find out. We will go to www.CNET.com and we will search Apple, Intel and let*s see what we come up within the search box there, so www.use.com very fast searching on www.CNET.com. Apple to ditch IBM, switch to Intel chips and then of course there is a follow on article that says oh all the nets, all of buzz with this. So it was Stephen Shankland that*s writing the story remember that name Stephen Shankland who is writing the story. Apple computer plans to announce on Monday that it's scrapping it's partnership with IBM and switching its computers to Intel*s microprocessors, CNET*s www.News.com has learned. So that*s what going go there. That*s what they are saying, they are stating directly that they are changing. The Wall Street Journal reported last month that Apple was considering switching to Intel, but many analysts were skeptical citing the difficulty and risk to Apple. They started quoting all these analysts all over the place there are all you know well that*s just stupid, they actually do that I will be surprised, amazed and concerned, said Insight 64 analysts. What is Insight 64, I never heard of this think tank, take this analyst Haven. But there they are coding Insight 64 analyst Nathan Brookwood who says "I don't know that Apple's market share can survive another architecture shift. Every time they do this, they lose more customers." See that to me is #1 not true, #2 irresponsible because it is well thought out and I wonder why this person is being given any sort of credential by CNET. They didn*t lose customers when they switched architecture. In fact of anything when they switched from the 68000 series to the PowerPC Series, 68000 68020, 68030 up to the 68040 which was the PowerPC Series, they gained customers. Many, many other things we are going go with the company at that time back in the mid 90s but they actually gain customers and have been gaining customers ever since. So I am not quite sure where that*s coming from I am not quite sure why they are saying things like that or why this guy is the first guy that gets quoted. He even says so in the article Apple successfully navigated a switch in the 1990s from Motorola's 680x0 line of processors to the Power line jointly made by Motorola and IBM. There were two switches one was from 68000 and 68020, 68030 to the 68040 and up line. And that required some changes as well because Motorola made changes in the design. That switch also required software to be revamped, take advantage of the new

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
