Technica 35S, it's a Lapel Mic, a Lavalier Mic. The iRiver I just saw on sale for less then $170 I think it was a $166 over at Amazon. And I have got links that will be in the in our blog for these. So you can go right there. So what do you do? You take any set of your buds you plug those into the mini stereo output so you can hear what you are doing. You get your settings right on the iRiver so it*s recording 44, 22, 128k mono or joint stereo mp3s, does require reading the manual. So reading the manual in this case is a good thing because the manual is okay. It*s not great it*s okay it shows how to do what you need to do. And you plug this microphone in and you can hear what you are doing while you are doing it. So you plug the microphone in you clip it your breast pocket or lapel or your collar. And you hit record and pause you are ready to go and you start recording. Hi, this is my Podcast I have decided that what I am going to talk about is my love of literate T-Shirts. I love literate T-Shirts I have got T-Shirts that have sayings on them from Rock Concerts in the 70s and MTV in the 80s and T-Shirts held in the 90s and 2000s. I have got all kinds of, is it you are doing, you are talking. You are talking you are doing, you are doing your Podcast maybe you are talking to your spouse or your partner or your friend or a celebrity. Whatever you are doing it*s been captured by the microphone and recorded on the iRiver. When you are done say thank you very much and you click the stop button. The iRiver immediately queues up what you have recorded in mp3 format and lets you listen to it if you would like to. The next thing you do is you plug the iRiver into your computer using a USB cable that comes with the iRiver. It*s all included in the iRiver and you use a piece of software called the iRiver Music Manager. Now just because it says Music Manager doesn't mean it doesn't handle all sounds, not just music and when you plug your iRiver into your computer whether it*s a Mac or a PC it will appear on your desktop as another device and on that device will be a number of files, number of audio files look for the one you just recorded. It will usually have the highest number and I think the file naming scheme is external microphone em001, em002, em003 etc, something like that. Just find it bring it over to your hard drive rename it to something more appropriate like T-Shirt, literate T-Shirt, Podcast episode 1 or T-Shirt Podcast T-Shirt cast 001 or the date I use the dates on mine. And I use the 4 digit year 2 digit month, 2 digit day format. So yyyy/mm/dd format as part of file name that keeps them all separate. So now
