David Lawrence: Yeah so what it*s doing is it actually using a mild abrasive to polish off the deeper scratches that maybe making the laser not find its pits. When the laser goes up through the surface of the CD. if it is being diverted enough by bad scratches then Skip Doctor will work. Now old are these CDs?
John: Well probably some are about 15 years old.
David Lawrence: And how they have been cared for over time?
John: Well I seldom used and some were really, most of were good when I bought them.
David Lawrence: Have you handled them well.
John: Yes.
David Lawrence: Okay.
John: I kept them in the jewel boxes almost all the time.
David Lawrence: Okay good and you don*t put fingerprints on them and stuff like that. You just try and respect them okay good. So here is the deal over time some CDs, if they are exposed to heat or if they exposed to cold will begin to separate the layer of plastic and aluminum and then plastic will begin to separate. If that*s the case Skip Doctor can help you. But if it scratches, if you look at the surface and it*s all scratched up and that*s why it*s skipping then I think Skip Doctor is a great product. Because it just polishes off enough that it doesn*t harm the integrity of the plastic and it*s worth trying because otherwise you know what*s the difference you are going to replace the CD anyway, right is that right.
John: Yes.
David Lawrence: Alright.
John: Thank you very much for your help.
David Lawrence: I appreciate the call, try it out and let us know how it works out too. I would love to find out what you think. Back in a moment with more Online Tonight.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
