David Lawrence: I appreciate the call. 180039 Online is our telephone number. Instant message David, please talk about RSS and RSS is great. RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication and if you got to just about any blog or if you get a mailing list or a newsletter via E-mail they are probably offering you an RSS option with the enormous amount of spam on the web. And the enormous amount of retaliation towards people who are signing you up for newsletters without your knowledge. RSS solves a number of different problems all in one full swoop. Instead of using an E-mail client like Outlook Express, you use an RSS Reader like NewsGator or AmphetaDesk or whatever and the only way you can get the information is to turn it on yourself. So there is no question that you are asking for it because you actually go through the process of putting it on your channels. I will talk a little bit more about this when we come back. It is the newest, latest thing and it*s something you should be aware. We use it, back in a moment.

This is the Net Music Countdown shortcut.

You can catch up with Henry Garza and the rest of the Lost Lonely Boys, a part of the January issue of Guitar World Magazine. Henry graces the cover. # 2 this week on the Net Music Countdown. Lost Lonely Boys in Heaven.

Heaven from Lost Lonely Boys, the # 2 on the Net Music Countdown you know that means, that means you get a brand new # 1 on the eTracks charts this week. We will reveal who has got the top digital spot in just a few minutes.

David Lawrence: Panic attacks and agoraphobia are scary serious problems. I can show you simple and effective ways to stop the panic and get your life back. Get my easy to read instantly downloadable guide 10 Quick Steps To Overcoming Panic Attacks, right now at 10quicksteps.com. That is 10quicksteps.com.

26 minutes before the hour, my name David Lawrence and if you would like to add instant audio to your website I am talking the kind of audio that we have on our website where when you go and click on those little blue playback buttons and the audio instantly is played rather than waiting for to download or waiting for to stream or buffering or net congestion or spawning a player and all that stuff, its easy. It*s a product called Sonic Memo and if you click on the link next to any of our playback buttons, the ones that say *how do we do that.* You will get the low down on Sonic Memo. It*s worth every penny. You can also go to onlinetonight.com/sonicmemo that*s onlinetonight.com/sonicmemo.

And let me see 180039 online is our telephone number. We will get back to the calls in just a second. We were talking about RSS. Got an instant message from Susan Walker, who say could you please talk about RSS Feeds. How do you use them to get newsletters? First of all, whoever is publishing the newsletter has to offer on RSS Feed and basically instead of getting a newsletter via E-mail which means it has to pass through your ISP*s spam filter, your spam filter. Sometimes your ISP even though you want to get the newsletter your ISP has such a type reign on the inbound E-mail that it filters it out, despite your bagging. It happens all the time with legitimate publishers. One of the reasons that we don*t publish a newsletter anymore. We are thinking about gearing up to doing it again now that its more viable with RSS, but basically instead of doing that, instead of taking the risk that your E-mail won*t be delivered what publishers do is they will put it up on a website, they put the newsletters up on a website. And once they do that, the moment they do that, they publish a little signal that turns on a notification on every one of the RSS readers that are out there that are turned on to that particular channel. So if I publish you know say Online Tonight*s daily tips and I let you know about this on the radio and then you need an RSS reader and there are free ones all over the place. Just Google RSS Reader and you will find them. The moment I publish something if you got my channel turned on because I have said here go to my website, click on this button and you will get the link that you need to put into your RSS Reader to overtly turn on my channel.
